This is one of the major reasons I love the Lakes. To get up in the morning and look out to see this kind of view is amazing. And the peace and quiet of it all is something else too.
We'll be back another year, of that I'm sure.
The place we were staying is called Fisherground, and it sits in the Eskdale valley. The house sleeps 16 and is a great location for a large family party like ours.
